Horizon T101 Treadmill Review: Earlier Model and T101 Connect

Strong sportsman using treadmill for cardio workout in gym

Checked October 20, 2026. This is a source-based update, not a treadmill.run hands-on test of the current T101 Connect.

The previous version of this page included prices and specifications for an earlier T101. It did not record an exact model revision, so those figures should not be treated as current.

Current Horizon T101 Connect

Horizon’s current product page calls this model the T101 Connect. It lists a 20 x 55-inch running area, speeds from 0.5 to 10 mph, a 0 to 10% incline and a 300 lb user limit. The listed machine weight is 180 lb. Horizon specifies four LED display windows, Bluetooth FTMS, lifetime frame and motor coverage, and one year for parts and labor.

Horizon lists six workout modes. Runner’s World describes five on its tested unit and reports a three-speed fan, which Horizon’s current specification summary does not list. The information may differ by revision. Check the exact model and feature list rather than relying on the old T101 description.

Horizon marked the T101 Connect sold out when checked on October 20, 2026. This page has no purchase link while the product is unavailable.

Older T101 models and the recall

The old copy on this page listed a 165 lb machine weight and a 20 x 55-inch belt. The belt size also appears in Horizon’s CPSC recall notice for the T101-05, but this page did not record a model number or serial number. The exact version reviewed cannot be confirmed from the article alone.

The CPSC recall applies to certain T101-05 treadmills with serial numbers beginning TM734 or TM486. It cites unexpected changes in speed or stops and directs owners of affected units to stop using them and contact Horizon for the software repair. The notice is specific to those T101-05 units; it is not a recall of every treadmill called T101. Check the model and serial label and follow the CPSC notice if you own an older unit.

What reviewers reported

In its 2026 longevity review, Runner’s World said its shared office treadmill had been used for more than 15 months and about 400 miles. The reviewer reported that it kept working, but noted some movement at higher speeds or incline and said the controls could be touchy. Those observations describe one test unit, not every T101 revision.

Who it may suit

The current T101 Connect’s 55-inch deck and 10 mph top speed point to walking and easy jogging. Runners who need a longer deck or plan to run faster should compare those limits with their stride and workout pace before choosing it. This is guidance based on the listed specifications, not a treadmill.run test.
